L&P Fibers and Sleep-Safe® renew agreement – March, 2008

Sleep-Safe® Technologies in Spartanburg, SC, and L&P Fibers in Nashville, TN, have renewed their agreement for the incorporation of the Sleep-Safe® FR technology into L&P’s Pyroshield® FR bedding barrier products.

Pyroshield® is manufactured, marketed, and distributed in North America utilizing L&P Fibers’ broad manufacturing and distribution network. Utilizing a proprietary FR formulation specific to L&P Fibers, Pyroshield® with Sleep-Safe® offers a unique redundant FR technology that provides a significant measure of additional fire protection compared to competitive offerings, yet offers excellent value to the bedding manufacturer.

Starensier and Sleep-Safe® announce partnership – December, 2007

Sleep-Safe® Technologies in Spartanburg, SC, and Starensier Incorporated in Newburyport, MA, have entered into an exclusive partnership for the manufacture and distribution of the Sleep-Safe® line of FR Filler Fabrics.

Starensier, along with its global manufacturing partner, Cosmo Textiles, have supplied cost-effective, quality substrates for the manufacture of the Sleep-Safe® Filler Fabrics since the initial launch of the product line. The new partnership further streamlines the manufacturing and distribution of the high performing Filler Fabric, marketed under Starensier’s Fireplug® brand name.

Along with the known performance and value of the FR Filler Fabric, Starensier is also offering a line of Fireplug® FR printed Barrier Fabrics. Employing the same proven Sleep-Safe® technology found in the Filler Fabrics, this economical ticking fabric offers exceptional performance and value.

Sleep-Safe® Wool FR Barrier Introduced – October, 2007

Sleep-Safe® Technologies has unveiled a new Premium FR barrier batting for construction of luxury and natural mattresses. The new product is manufactured in-house by The Felters Group, and utilizes a blend of natural wool and inherently FR viscose fibers. Sleep-Safe® Wool achieves a superior level of comfort compared to competitive offerings using polymeric fibers or wool alone.

Sleep-Safe® Wool is marketed and distributed directly by Sleep-Safe® Technologies, and is also represented in the market by L&P Fibers. The product has demonstrated exceptional flame resistance and thermal transfer properties in initial testing, even potentially eliminating the necessity for secondary “sock” barriers in latex core mattresses.
